Who is eligible to join?
- Active Duty Branch
- U.S. Citizens/residents of Massachusetts
- Prior and non-prior military 17-65 years of age
- Good health with weight in proportion to height
- Auxilliary Branch
- U.S. Citizens/residents of Massachusetts
- Age 17 or older
- Reasonably good health
What are the membership requirements?
- Active Duty Branch
- Members pledge to a 3-year enlistment (but may request release at any time due to personal or employment conflicts)
- Required to maintain 50% attendance based on twelve 8 hour drills per year
- Must maintain health and weight requirements
- Must purchase their own uniforms
- Auxilliary Branch
- No attendance requirement
- Must purchase their own distinctive shirt and cap
